well, it really doesn't have anything to do with bellybuttons, much as I like the linty metaphor. colloquially, a "navelgazer" is someone who is definitively introspective.

in a nutshell:
I'm a 30-odd-year-old chick who still gets carded for cigarettes.
I'm an INFP.
I'm romantically unattached.
I spend my time alternately reading and writing toward a phd in language, literacy and culture (focus on teaching writing, literature, and expressive media) and making stuff (web sites, collages, handmade books, poems and essays).
I'm a grad student in iowa, for now.
