i've been waiting for this film since the last one came out, so yay for getting to see the preview. but, wow, he really was a very talented young actor, wasn't he? brokeback established that, but this would have fully demonstrated his range. sigh…
I find it incredibly sad. impossible for human beings to maintain relationships, perspective, or any sort of groundedness in that world. I suppose it's the inevitable cost, but, god, that world just chews people up and spits them out. hall of crazy-making mirrors. it's wonderful that the machine provides the stage for those talents to shine and we out here in our daily lives get to witness it– but fame is terribly brutal. I would never ever want it and honestly can't imagine how others crave it.
