  1. love the signs of spring though a lttle wet and dull sometimes. Anyway, may I ask one linguitic question: Is it a must that "one the one hand" goes with "on the other hand"? Thank you.

  2. hi, miz hanh! yeah, "on the one hand" pretty much logically demands being followed up by the dualistic comparative "on the other hand." though I will add that occasionally, colloquially, I'll hear it used (or even use it myself) incorrectly or intentionally absurdly with additional "on yet another hand" alternatives, as if we were shiva or ganesh or other better-equipped entities. ;)
