"And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth….therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth."I amuse me.
and they did say make it shiny and silver, and make a viewing platform at the toppeth so that we may spit off it and release balloons and paper airoplanes. and they did. and they said maybe chargeth for the viewing platform. and they did. and they said maketh the lift fast so that it does not taketh an age to reach the top. and they did.
Living Shangri-La will be the city's tallest building at 646 feet tall and will redefine the Vancouver skyline. Just five estate suites remain at Living Shangri-La, priced from $3.2 million to $3.225 million and ranging from 2,380 to 2,560 square feet. Living Shangri-La's completion date is sometime in 2008.646 feet! How embarrassing for Vancouver!http://www.livingshangri-la.com/by the way…this building is hella ugly.
Wonder if they deal with the heat convection thingy with a heat transfer system that could pump heat from the top to the bottom and likeswise reverse for cooling storage to keep the building cool during the day… Like a big ground source heating/cooling system. Interesting…
Is it just me, or does this look like a giant rocket? Maybe this is going to blast off when the rapture occurs and we'll all be "Left Behind"… LOL
