  1. I have just finished picking the carcass. you know how satisfying that is? (no, I did not imagine it to be that of a young man– not even once–hahahahahahahahah ahem. ohmygod woo! cackling crone, awesome.) now we have: 2 large ziplocks full of delectable turkey meat (one in the freezer); 1 stockpot with bones in fridge ready to make soup/stock; 1 tupperware with jus in fridge, settlin', for subsequent removal of fat. roasting pan soaking. I feel most happily domestic and productive. ahhhh. and let me just say it one last time– picking the meat off a bird carcass is incredibly satisfying, fyi.
